HOLBROOK — Holbrook Regional Emergency Communications Center (HRECC) Director Steve Hooke would like to thank HRECC’s public safety dispatchers during this year’s National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.

National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (NPSTW) is held annually during the second week of April to honor telecommunications personnel for their commitment, service, and sacrifice.

NPSTW, held this year from April 14-20, is a time to celebrate and thank telecommunications personnel across the country who serve their communities, residents and public safety personnel 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

“We are immensely grateful for the unwavering dedication of our dispatchers, not only during NPSTW, but everyday,” said Director Hooke. “Thank you for the tireless service that you continuously provide to our communities in their time of need.”

“Thank you to our dedicated team of professionals who consistently go above and beyond for the communities we serve,” said Assistant Director of Communications Lauren Mielke. “The strong work you perform each and every day makes a difference in so many lives. We appreciate each and every one of you and are grateful you are part of our team. Thank you to all the Telecommunicators who have entered the Public Safety Telecommunications field as their chosen profession, you are truly the unsung heroes, the first of the first responders and are all making a difference.“
