HOLBROOK — Director Steve Hooke announces that the Holbrook Regional Emergency Communications Center is seeking to add to its existing team of regional public safety telecommunicators/dispatchers.

There are currently four immediate openings EACH for full-time and part-time regional public safety telecommunicators/dispatchers. The positions are being added to meet increased need as the HRECC continues to grow.

Interested applicants should have flexible availability, experience in dispatching, familiarity with radio equipment and public safety communications, computer-aided dispatch (CAD), and the ability to multitask and work under stressful conditions. Contact with the public is required.

Minimum requirements include:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must successfully pass a background screening and pre-employment testing.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with the following certifications: Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) PST1 Course, APCO Emergency Medical Dispatch, NG911 Equipment Training and CPR.
