Chief William Smith is pleased to announce that the Holbrook Police Department was among several first responder agencies throughout the region paying a special visit to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton Monday to show appreciation to the hospital’s employees.

As part of the event, first responders drove their police cruisers, fire engines and ambulances through the hospital parking lot before looping around and parking along the North Pearl Street entrance. They then waved and said thank you to the hospital workers as some arrived to work and others left during the 3 p.m. shift change.

Two officers and two vehicles from the Holbrook Police Department took part in the event.

“This was a great opportunity to give thanks to the hospital workers for what they have done during this pandemic,” Chief Smith said. “Medical personnel have been right there with first responders making sacrifices and going the extra mile to keep the community safe during these difficult times. It’s been inspiring to see how doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers have been on the front lines battling this disease from the start.”
