HOLBROOK — Director Steve Hooke is pleased to announce that the Holbrook Regional Emergency Communications Center was among several first responder agencies throughout the region paying a special visit to Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital on Tuesday, April 28 to show appreciation to the hospital’s employees.

The HRECC was joined by first responders from Brockton, Plympton, Middleboro, Easton, Avon, Randolph, Holbrook, Abington, Whitman, Rockland, Somerville, the Brockton Emergency Management Agency and the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council (MetroLEC).

As part of the event, first responders in more than 80 vehicles circled the Brockton Hospital campus on Centre Street. Nurses, technicians, doctors and several other hospital staff lined Centre Street, Libby Street and the main entrance to greet the first responders.

The convoy took place during the hospital’s afternoon shift change, which allowed first responders to reach as many staff members as possible.

“These healthcare employees are on the front lines treating our friends and loved ones who are suffering from the coronavirus,” Director Hooke said. “This was our chance to salute and thank the healthcare heroes for their service and show them that we appreciate all that they are doing.”
